THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  VERNON COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI
  ST. CLAIR COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 130 PM CDT

* AT 719 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.
  DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS OCCURRED 
  WITH THESE STORMS OVER NORTHERN VERNON AND SAINT CLAIR COUNTY.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING
  INCLUDE...NEVADA...WALKER...SHELDON...SCHELL CITY...OSCEOLA...LOWRY
  CITY AND APPLETON CITY.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF A HALF INCH TO INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE WARNED AREA.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
