THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BLACKSBURG HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GREENBRIER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST WEST VIRGINIA

* UNTIL 1130 PM EDT

* AT 929 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR HAS ESTIMATED THREE 
INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE 6:00 PM.  RAIN FROM THE PREVIOUS 
COUPLE OF DAYS HAS SATURATED THE GROUND.  STORMS THIS EVENING WERE 
SLOW MOVING AND PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES PER 
HOUR.  RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS HAVE PRODUCED FLASH FLOODING... 
ESPECIALLY IN LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.  WATCH FOR RAPID 
RISES ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS.

<<CALL TO ACTION>>DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE
WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW

ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT THE HEAVY RAINS HAVE 
ENDED ACROSS THE WARNED AREA...AND THE FLOOD THREAT WAS DIMINISHING. 
SOME MINOR FLOODING MAY CONTINUE...BUT THE THREAT OF SERIOUS 
FLOODING IS ENDING. THUS...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS BEING CANCELED.
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT ACROSS GREENBRIER
COUNTY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL BE LESS THAN A QUARTER INCH.
