THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BLACKSBURG HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WATAUGA COUNTY IN NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 330 PM EDT.

* AT 129 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY 
  HEAVY RAINFALL 8 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BOONE.  THE STORM WAS NEARLY 
  STATIONARY.

LOCATIONS THREATENED BY HEAVY RAIN THROUGH 330 PM EDT INCLUDE
  VALLEY CRUCES...

SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
FLOODING ALONG DUTCH CREEK WHERE IT FLOWS INTO THE WATAUGA RIVER NEAR
VALLEY CRUCES.
