THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ATOKA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA
  BRYAN COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA
  MARSHALL COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA

* UNTIL 400 AM CST

* AT 1157 PM CST...UP TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN OVER 
PORTIONS OF THE WARNED AREA.  ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING 
PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST 4 AM. LOCAL 
OFFICIALS REPORTS THAT SOME ROADS ARE CLOSED DUE TO WATER OVER THE 
ROADS... AND NUMEROUS TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS HAVE OCCURRED.  RAINFALL 
RATES AROUND 1 INCH PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH AT LEAST 2 AM... 
WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE CONDITIONS WORSE AS THE NIGHT PROGRESSES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER 
COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR 
CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE 
ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
