THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  KAY COUNTY IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA

* UNTIL 645 PM CDT

* AT 342 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED ANOTHER ROUND OF 
THUNDERSTORMS AND HEAVY RAINFALL MOVING INTO WESTERN KAY COUNTY.  
RADAR DETECTED OVER THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL ACROSS NORTHWEST KAY 
COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON.  THE POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING REMAINS 
HIGH INTO THE EARLY EVENING AS THE STORMS MOVE EAST AND DROP 
ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BLACKWELL...BRAMAN...KILDARE...  
NEWKIRK AND TONKAWA

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR KAY COUNTY WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 
645 PM...

AT 630 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT THE RAIN OVER MUCH OF 
WESTERN AND NORTHERN KAY COUNTY HAD DECREASED IN INTENSITY...AND 
THIS TREND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. 
HOURLY RAINFALL RATES WILL AVERAGE AROUND ONE-TENTH OF AN INCH 
THROUGH 8 PM...WHICH SHOULDNT RESULT IN ANY ADDITIONAL FLOODING 
PROBLEMS.

HIGH WATER ACROSS POORLY DRAINED OR LOW LYING AREAS WILL BE POSSIBLE 
THROUGH MID EVENING.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE 
WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
