THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NASSAU COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK

* UNTIL 1015 PM EDT

* AT 910 PM EDT...THE PUBLIC REPORTED VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER 
  FARMINGDALE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

STRONG THUNDERSTORSMS ARE PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN OVER THE COUNTY.
RAINFALL RATES OF ONE INCH PER HOUR ARE CAUSING WIDESPREAD
STREET FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
