THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FAIRFIELD COUNTY IN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT

* UNTIL 415 PM EDT

* AT 218 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  PERSISTENT BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING ACROSS THE
  COUNTY AND REMAINING NEARLY STATIONARY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS RAIN WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
