THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN FRANCISCO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MARIN COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

* UNTIL 115 PM PST

* DURING THE PAST TWO HOURS...AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED HEAVY
RAIN ACROSS MOST OF MARIN COUNTY. RAIN RATES IN EXCESS OF ONE HALF
INCH PER HOUR HAVE BEEN COMMON.

* THE MARIN COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTS WATER ACROSS HIGHWAY
ONE IN BOLINAS. IN ADDITION...NORTHBOUND 101 AT HIGHWAY ONE AND
AT THE SEMINARY OFFRAMP IS CLOSE DUE TO FLOODING.

* HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. HEAVY
RAINS ON SATURATED SOILS WILL RESULT IN HEAVY RUNOFF AND RAPID RISES
ON SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS. SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL LIKELY
OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY AND THE ROAD BENEATH MAY NOT BE INTACT. VEHICLES
CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. IT ONLY TAKES
A FOOT OR TWO OF FLOWING WATER TO WASH MOST CARS AWAY. REMEMBER...
