THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
  IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA

* UNTIL 500 PM EDT

* AT 155 PM EDT...AMATEUR RADIO WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED NUMEROUS   
  LOCATIONS WITH STANDING WATER FROM VERO BEACH...SOUTH TO THE SAINT 
  LUCIE COUNTY LINE. 

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ASHORE 
  ALONG THE TREASURE COAST FROM SEBASTIAN INLET SOUTH TO THE SAINT   
  LUCIE COUNTY LINE THROUGH 4 PM. ADDITIONAL RAIN TOTALS OF 2 TO 3   
  INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF WILL CAUSE FLOODING AND DANGEROUS STANDING WATER 
CONDITIONS ALONG URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS AND STREETS AS WELL AS OTHER 
DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE 
WARNING AREA AND ARE THREATENED...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO 
PROTECT PROPERTY. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
