THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL MIAMI-DADE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA

* UNTIL 600 PM EDT

* AT 433 PM EDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED  
  VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER WEST KENDALL MAINLY NORTH OF KENDALL DRIVE AND
  WEST OF THE TURNPIKE. THESE HEAVY RAINS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A SEVERE
  THUNDERSTORM THAT IS NEARLY STATIONARY. RAINFALL RATES OF 3 TO 5   
  INCHES PER HOUR ARE BEING INDICATED BY DOPPLER RADAR. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE RAPID FLOODING
OF URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS AS WELL AS OTHER POORLY DRAINED AREAS
AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER MAY OBSCURE DEEP CANALS OR PONDS.
