PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM NEAR MCDONALD SOUTH TO HOBBS AND
EUNICE. AT 6 PM MDT LAW ENFORCEMENT IN HOBBS REPORTED STREET FLOODING.
WITH ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED THROUGH 7 PM MDT...FLASH FLOODING

AT 707 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
DETECT MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS LEA COUNTY FROM HOBBS WESTWARD.
THE SHOWERS AND STORMS PRODUCING THE RAINFALL WERE MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN HOBBS REPORTS FLOODING IN THE HOBBS AREA WITH
VEHICLES STRANDED IN WATER. FLOODING IN RURAL AREAS OUTSIDE OF HOBBS IS
ALSO POSSIBLE. RAIN IS EXPECTED IN THE AREA THROUGH 730 PM AND
PROBLEMS WILL LIKELY LAST UNTIL AROUND 9 PM WHEN FLOOD WATERS WILL HAVE
HAD A CHANCE TO RECEDE.
