  PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF AVALON...OR

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR EDDY COUNTY UNTIL 915 PM 
MDT...

AT 713 PM MDT...WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED SEVERAL STREETS IN CARLSBAD
WITH WATER COVERING THE ROAD FROM CURB TO CURB.  THE INTERSECTION OF 
RADIO AND BOYD HAS BEEN BARRICADED DUE TO 6 TO 8 INCHES OF WATER 
COVERING THE ROAD...AND 4 INCHES OF WATER IS COVERING SAN JOSE 
STREET.  ALTHOUGH THE HEAVY RAINFALL HAS COME TO AN END...FLOODING 
OF STREETS...AND LOW LYING DRAINAGE AREAS WILL CONTINUE.

DO NOT DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR 
IN AUTOMOBILES.
