THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI
  GASCONADE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI
  WARREN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 930 PM CDT

* AT 437 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   A 
NORTHEAST TO SOUTHWEST LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY 
RAIN EXTENDING FROM NEAR WARRENTON TO OWENSVILLE. INDIVIDUAL STORMS 
ARE FOLLOWING ONE ANOTHER. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST 
AT 5 TO 10 MPH...VERY SLOWLY...AND PRODUCING POCKETS OF TORRENTIAL
RAINFALL. 

* FLASH FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA...AND WILL BE   
AFFECTING SMALLER COMMUNITIES AND RURAL AREAS IN A TRIANGLE BOUNDED
BY WARRENTON...OWENSVILLE...AND HIGHWAY 19 NORTH TO INTERSTATE 70
BETWEEN NOW AND 600 PM CDT. THESE WILL GRADUALLY DRIFT INTO WARREN
COUNTY BETWEEN NOW AND 830 PM. RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN A FEW LOCATIONS
WILL POSSIBLY EXCEED 3 INCHES IN 1 TO 2 HOURS. STREAMS AND 
TRIBUTARIES WILL RISE VERY RAPIDLY DUE TO SATURATED GROUND FROM 
PREVIOUS RAINFALL.

IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR IMMINENT...MOVE QUICKLY TO HIGHER
GROUND. NEVER DRIVE INTO AN AREA WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
