OSAGE COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI CRAWFORD COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI GASCONADE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI * UNTIL 100 PM CDT * AT 1005 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF STEELVILLE TO BOURBON IN CRAWFORD COUNTY AND A SECOND THUNDERSTORM NEAR LINN IN OSAGE COUNTY. BOTH OF THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST. RADAR ESTIMATES NEARLY 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN NEAR CUBA WITH OVER 4 INCHES NEAR LINN. ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN WILL OCCUR THIS MORNING AS ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS MOVE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. * FLASH FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA...AND WILL BE AFFECTING FRANKENSTEIN...LINN...RICH FOUNTAIN...OWENSVILLE... CUBA...STEELVILLE AND CHERRYVILLE. MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW WATER CROSSINGS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS... ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND. THOSE CAMPING NEAR SMALL STREAMS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND AT ONCE.
