THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  MEADE COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  HANCOCK COUNTY IN NORTHWEST KENTUCKY

* UNTIL 315 AM CDT (415 AM EDT)

* SOME LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BRANDENBURG...HARDINSBURG AND
  HAWESVILLE

AT 1210 AM EDT, WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT NUMEROUS BANDS 
OF HEAVY RAINS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE WARNED AREA, WITH 
ADDITIONAL HEAVY PRECIPITATION EXPECTED TO MOVE IN FROM TENNESSEE. 
RADAR AND SURFACE OBSERVATIONS HAVE SHOWN THAT FROM 2 TO 4.5 INCHES 
OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ALREADY THIS EVENING, ESPECIALLY IN A ZONE FROM 
NEAR ROUGH RIVER LAKE AND SOUTHEASTERN HANCOCK COUNTY, UP TOWARDS 
BRANDENBURG IN MEADE COUNTY. THIS IS THE AREA THAT WILL HAVE THE 
HIGHEST FLOODING THREAT WITH THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED
ROADWAYS...IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO JUDGE THE ACTUAL DEPTH OF THE
WATER. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
