THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BOURBON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  HARRISON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY
  SCOTT COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT

* AT 900 PM EDT...THUNDERSTORMS WERE STILL OCCURRING ACROSS WESTERN 
BOURBON, SOUTHERN HARRISON, AND EASTERN SCOTT COUNTIES. RAINFALL 
ESTIMATES FOR THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT FROM 
4 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAD ALREADY FALLEN IN THE AREA AROUND THE 
BOURBON, SCOTT, AND HARRISON COUNTY LINES. ALSO REPORTS INDICATE 
THAT SEVERAL ROADS IN THE AREA ARE COVERED WITH WATER. WITH RAIN 
STILL FALLING...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR BOURBON, SCOTT, AND 
HARRISON COUNTIES WILL BE EXTENDED UNTIL MIDNIGHT.


* SOME LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE CYNTHIANA...GEORGETOWN AND
  PARIS

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADWAYS...UNDERPASSESS AND LOW LYING AREAS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED
ROADWAYS...IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO JUDGE THE ACTUAL DEPTH OF THE
WATER. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
