THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MADISON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY

* UNTIL 730 PM EDT

* AT 333 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF 
PERSISTENT THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER PARTS OF MADISON COUNTY. 
RADAR HAS ESTIMATED THAT UP TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS 
FALLEN SINCE 200 PM EDT...ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF 
THE COUNTY. 

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES FROM ONE TO TWO 
INCHES PER HOUR OVER THE COUNTY...WHICH WILL LIKELY LEAD TO FLASH 
FLOODING. THE AREA WITH THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING IS 
FROM JUST SOUTH OF RICHMOND TO NEAR DREYFUSS. CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL 
RISE RAPIDLY

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
