THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WILKINSON COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 1115 PM CDT

* AT 825 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER 
OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS NEARLY STATIONARY ACROSS NORTHERN WILKINSON 
COUNTY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED 3 TO 4 INCHES WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS 
IN EXCESS OF 5 INCHES HAVE FALLEN SINCE 7 PM. THE HEAVY RAINFALL 
WILL LIKELY PRODUCE SUBSTANTIAL RUNOFF RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING 
OF LOW LYING AREAS AND AREAS NEAR SMALL STREAMS...INCLUDING HIGHWAYS 
AND COUNTY ROADS. 

AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN ARE LIKELY TO DIMINISH BY 930 PM...HOWEVER 
RUN-OFF FROM THE HEAVY RAINFALL MAY NOT COMPLETELY SUBSIDE UNTIL 
AFTER 11 PM.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNED AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
