THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EFFINGHAM COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 130 AM CDT

* AT 1028 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  HEAVY RAINS CONTINUING JUST SOUTH OF ALTAMONT. 3 TO 4 INCHES OF
  RAIN HAS BEEN ESTIMATED SINCE 8 PM.

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE
  AREA. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY RANGE FROM 4 TO 5 INCHES BY
  MIDNIGHT. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FLASH
  FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
