WESTERN RAWLINS COUNTY IN NORTHWEST KANSAS EASTERN CHEYENNE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST KANSAS * UNTIL 900 PM CDT * AT 501 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED FLASH FLOODING 10 MILES NORTH BIRD CITY. AT THIS LOCATION...BIG TIMBER CREEK WAS FLOWING ACROSS HIGHWAY 161. THE CREEK WAS STILL RISING...AND A LARGE AMOUNT OF DEBRIS WAS CAUGHT IN THIS FLASH FLOOD. THE SPOTTERS ALSO REPORTED THAT OVER 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN A SHORT TIME. * SOME LOCATIONS INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE...BEARDSLEY...BIRD CITY...BLAKEMAN AND MCDONALD. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY OR PAST POLICE BARRICADES.
