THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EASTERN PLYMOUTH COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
  CHEROKEE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
  BUENA VISTA COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA

* UNTIL 900 AM CDT

* AT 650 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES
  AND SPOTTER RAIN GAUGE MEASUREMENTS INDICATED FROM THREE TO SIX
  INCHES RAINFALL FROM NORTHEASTERN SECTIONS OF PLYMOUTH COUNTY
  NEAR REMSEN...THROUGH MOST OF CHEROKEE AND BUENA VISTA COUTNIES.
  DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN ADDITIONAL CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS
  OVER EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA MOVING TOWARD THE ALREADY 
  SATURATED AREA.  AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES
  OF RAIN IS EXPECTED.

THIS EXTENDS THE PREVIOUS FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR CHEROKEE AND
BUENA VISTA COUNTIES.  CONSIDERABLE RURAL FLOODING WAS REPORTED BY 
THE MEDIA 10 MILES NORTH OF AURELIA IN FAR WESTERN BUENA VISTA 
COUNTY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. IT IS
IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS SHOULD AVOID
CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING RAINS.
