THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND FORKS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...

  BECKER COUNTY IN NORTHWEST MINNESOTA.

* UNTIL 400 AM CDT.

* AT 1214 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE 
  FRAZEE...HEIGHT OF LAND LAKES...BAD MEDICINE LAKE...PONSFORD AND 
  EVERGREEN AREAS...MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

* DETROIT LAKES...ROCHERT...SHOREHAM...SNELLMAN AND TWO INLETS WILL
  BE AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN. DOPPLER RAINFALL ESTIMATES OF TWO 
  TO TWO AND ONE HALF INCHES HAVE BEEN INDICATED IN THE SHOREHAM AND 
  FRAZEE AREAS BETWEEN 1100 PM AND MIDNIGHT.

* AT 1214 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW
  MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN...MOVEMENT WAS TO THE
  NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

* SHOREHAM...DETROIT LAKES...WESTBURY AND ROCHERT WILL BE AFFECTED BY
  THE HEAVY RAIN. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES MAY 
  FALL IN THE ABOVE AREAS BETWEEN 1230 AM AND 230 AM.

MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR
VEHICLE INTO WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. ONE OR TWO FEET OF WATER WILL
FLOAT MOST CARS DOWNSTREAM.
