THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CLARK COUNTY IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI
  SCOTLAND COUNTY IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI
  LEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST IOWA

* UNTIL 215 AM CDT

* AT 919 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN TRACKING REPEATEDLY OVER 
  THE SAME AREA. 

* THE GROUND HAS ALREADY BEEN SATURATED BY RECENT RAINFALL...AND 
  ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN HAS RESULTED IN EXCESSIVE RUNOFF AND THE 
  LIKELIHOOD OF FLASH FLOODING IN THE WARNED AREA.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE 
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. MANY DITCHES AND CREEKS ARE NEAR 
THE TOP OF THEIR BANKS.  ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS 
WILL ONLY CAUSE MORE FLOODING.  DO NOT DRIVE WHERE WATER COVERS THE 
ROAD.  TURN AROUND AND FIND ANOTHER ROUTE.
