JIM WELLS COUNTY IN TEXAS * UNTIL 1215 AM CDT * AT 914 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER BEN BOLT...OR ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTH OF ALICE...MOVING NORTH AT 10 MPH. THIS HEAVY RAINFALL EXTENDED NORTH INTO ALICE...WHERE 2 TO 4 INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN THE PAST THREE HOURS. FLOODING ALONG HIGHWAY 281 IS LIKELY WITH THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
