THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CORPUS CHRISTI HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN WEBB COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

* AT 728 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN OCCURRING OVER SOUTHEASTERN WEBB COUNTY.  RADAR
  ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT AS MUCH AS 3 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAS
  FALLEN FROM AGUILARES TO BRUNI. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND
ARROYOS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE COUNTY OF WEBB
UNTIL 1030 PM CDT FRIDAY EVENING...

AT 940 PM...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW NUMEROUS SHOWERS 
AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER WEBB COUNTY...WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL 
BETWEEN AQUILARES AND ENCINAL.  THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE 
MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.  

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE STILL POSSIBLE 
BEFORE THESE STORMS MOVE OUT OF THE AREA.  SINCE 840 PM...THE 
HEAVIEST RAINFALL APPEARS TO HAVE FALL ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF 
ENCINAL...WITH RAINFALL ESTIMATES OF OVER TWO INCHES.  ISOLATED 
FLOODING OF COUNTY ROADS AND HIGHWAYS IS LIKELY.  

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD TAKE ALL THE NECESSARY
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY.
