THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU MAINE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  PISCATAQUIS COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MAINE. THIS                    
  INCLUDES BAXTER STATE PARK.

* UNTIL 800 PM EDT

* AT 626 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER BAXTER STATE PARK. RADAR 
ESTIMATED THAT THE STORMS WERE PRODUCING UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN PER 
HOUR.

* EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CAUSE RAPID FLOODING
  OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AND LOW LYING        
  AREAS. 

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. IF YOU 
ARE IN THE WARNING AREA SEEK SHELTER IN A SAFE PLACE. CAMPERS IN 
BAXTER STATE PARK NEED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND...BUT AVOID TALL 
TREES BECAUSE LIGHTNING IS ALSO A THREAT.
