* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN SCHOHARIE COUNTY IN EASTERN NEW YORK

* UNTIL 600 AM EDT

* AT 157 AM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
  RAIN IN SOUTHERN SCHOHARIE COUNTY.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...BREAKABEEN...GILBOA...
  JEFFERSON...LIVINGSTONVILLE...MIDDLEBURGH...NORTH BLENHEIM AND
  SUMMIT

* RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2.5 INCHES IN AN HOUR WERE REPORTED FROM       
  JEFFERSON. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE WHICH
  WOULD BE ENOUGH TO CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND POORLY
  DRAINED LOW LYING AREAS.   


BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
