THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BOWIE COUNTY IN NORTHEAST TEXAS
  MILLER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS

* UNTIL 800 PM CST

* AT 200 PM CST...THE SHREVEPORT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR       
  INDICATED MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN OVER MUCH OF BOWIE COUNTY WITH    
  SOME MODERATE RAIN OVER MILLER COUNTY.  THERE IS A THUNDERSTORM    
  WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE RED RIVER ARSENAL BETWEEN MAUD AND   
  NEW BOSTON.  THIS THUNDERSTORM IS MOVING TOWARDS TEXARKANA AND     
  WILL REACH THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE CITY BY 215 PM AND THE      
  REMAINDER OF THE CITY BY 230 PM.  WITH CREEKS AND STREAMS ALREADY  
  FULL...THIS ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING IN     
  TEXARKANA AND SURROUNDING AREAS.  MORE HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE      
  LATER THIS AFTERNOON IN BOTH BOWIE AND MILLER COUNTIES WITH THE    
  CONTINUING THREAT OF MORE FLASH FLOODING.
  
  EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINS LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING 
  WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS   
  AND UNDERPASSES.  ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG 
  THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE      
  SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
