THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BENTON COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 930 AM CDT

* AT 612 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER MOST OF 
  BENTON COUNTY...EXTENDING WESTWARD INTO FAR WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI. 
  INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORM CELL WERE MOVING EAST ALONG THE LINE AT 20
  MPH...WHILE THE LINE ITSELF WAS NEARLY STATIONARY. DOPPLER RADAR 
  ESTIMATED UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN OVER NORTHERN
  BENTON COUNTY.
 
* THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE WARNED 
  AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH 
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS 
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. 
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
