THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BLACKSBURG HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ALLEGHANY COUNTY IN NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA   
  GRAYSON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA
  ASHE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 445 PM EDT.

* AT 145 PM EDT...HEAVY RAINS WERE MOVING INTO THE WESTERN PORTIONS  
  OF THE WARNED AREA. 

SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE 
WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH 
FLOODING OF MANY SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS IN THE WARNED AREA. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED.
