THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN AND WESTERN WAKE COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 615 PM EDT

* AT 312 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* THUNDERSTORMS ARE CONTINUOUSLY REDEVELOPING OVER THE WARNED AREA...
  RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.

DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER 
APEX...CARY...AND LOCATIONS NEAR FALLS LAKE AND WAKE FOREST. HEAVY 
RAIN WILL CONTINUE OVER THESE SAME AREAS FOR THE FEW HOURS...RESULTING 
IN FLASH FLOODING.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
