EXTREME NORTH CENTRAL PINAL COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA * UNTIL 4 PM MST * AT 220 PM MST...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER SUPERIOR AND JUST SOUTHWEST OF SUPERIOR. OTHER STORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN RATES WERE OCCURRING MAINLY OVER HIGHER TERRAIN NORTH AND EAST OF QUEEN VALLEY. RADAR INDICATES THAT RAINFALL RATES OF 2 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR ARE OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. THE HEAVY RAINS COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES IN STEEP TERRAIN. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
