THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON NY CONTINUES THE 

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

  IN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT
  NEW HAVEN

* UNTIL 1100 AM EST.

* AT 505 AM STREAM AND SMALL RIVER FLOODING WAS OCCURRING IN THE 
WARNED AREA.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS RAIN OF 1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES HAS CAUSED SMALL STREAMS 
AND RIVERS TO REACH AND OR EXCEED BANK FULL LEVELS. FLOODING IN 
OCCURRING OVER NORTHERN CONNECTICUT IN THE HARTFORD AREA AND THIS 
WATER WILL CONTINUE TO FEED THE STREAMS AND RIVERS IN NEW HAVEN 
COUNTY. WITH MORE LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN EXPECTED TODAY...FLOODING 
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST THIS MORNING. 

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.
