* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JOHNSON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA
  OTOE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA

* UNTIL 200 AM CDT

* AT 1000 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED AND LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS 
REPORTED VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN IN OTOE AND JOHNSON COUNTIES 
WITH LOWLAND AND SOME ROAD FLOODING. WATER WAS REPORTED OVER HIGHWAY 
50 ABOUT 6 MILES SOUTH OF SYRACUSE NEBRASKA. OTHER WATER WAS 
REPORTED OVER HIGHWAY 75 SOUTH OF NEBRASKA CITY. DITCHES WERE 
REPORTED FULL IN JOHNSON COUNTY.   

RUNOFF FROM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND 
STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND 
FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING 
AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY AND MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK
HIGHER GROUND.
