THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MOBILE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA

* UNTIL 345 PM CDT

* THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF MOBILE

* AT 148 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED TORRENTIAL
  RAIN OVER CENTRAL MOBILE COUNTY...INCLUDING THE CITY OF MOBILE.
  THE STORMS THAT WERE PRODUCING THIS VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE MOVING
  EAST AT 10 MPH...WITH MORE STORMS DEVELOPING OVER CENTRAL MOBILE
  COUNTY.  THE NATIONAL WEATHER OFFICE IN MOBILE HAS RECEIVED NEARLY 
  2 INCHES OF RAIN IN 30 MINUTES...WHICH IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT TO
  CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.  THIS FLASH FLOOD WARNING SUPERSEDES THE
  URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MOBILE COUNTY.
 
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER 
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY 
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK 
HIGHER GROUND.
