THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  SOUTH BREVARD COUNTY
  IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA

* UNTIL 315 PM EDT.

* AT 212 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 6 MILES WEST OF BAREFOOT BAY.  THE STORM WAS
  NEARLY STATIONARY.

* ANOTHER LOCATION IN THE WARNING AREA INCLUDES MICCO.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60
MILES AN HOUR...LARGE HAIL...AND EXCESSIVE LIGHTNING. MOVE INDOORS 
TO A STURDY BUILDING AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

SINCE THIS STORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY...CONSIDERABLE RAIN WILL FALL 
IN THE SAME GENERAL VICINITY.  AMOUNTS OF TWO TO THREE INCHES ARE 
POSSIBLE. MOTORISTS ALONG INTERSTATE 95...MOVING THROUGH SOUTH 
BREVARD COUNTY...SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE HAZARDS OF THIS SEVERE STORM.

HEAVY RAINS MAY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS SUCH AS DITCHES AND
UNDERPASSES. AVOID THESE AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED ROADS AS THEY
MAY BE WASHED OUT. WATER LEVELS OF SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY sALSO
RISE...THEREFORE SEEK HIGHER GROUND IF THREATENED BY FLOOD WATERS.
