THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  HARRISON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY

* UNTIL 130 AM EDT

VERY HEAVY RAINS ON THE ORDER OF 2 TO 5 INCHES EARLIER IN THE
EVENING CAUSED FLASH FLOODING ACROSS PORTIONS OF HARRISON COUNTY. A
FEW ROADS WERE CLOSED EARLIER...AND SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS LIKELY
OVERFLOWED THEIR BANKS.

THE HEAVY RAINS HAVE ENDED...ALTHOUGH ANOTHER LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
WILL MOVE IN FROM THE WEST AND AN ADDITIONAL ONE QUARTER INCH OF
RAIN POSSIBLE.

LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED THAT ROADS WERE BEING REOPENED AT
THIS TIME...AND THAT SMALL STREAMS WERE BEGINNING TO FALL.  THUS...
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING THAT WAS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM EDT FOR
HARRISON WILL BE EXTENDED UNTIL 130 AM EDT...TO ALLOW TIME FOR HIGH
WATERS TO FULLY RECEDE.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. IF
HIGH WATER THREATENS YOUR AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE
