THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON KY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  FLOYD COUNTY
  PIKE COUNTY
  WOLFE COUNTY
  MAGOFFIN COUNTY

* UNTIL 215 PM EDT

* AT 1001 AM EDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH 
FLOODING ALONG BURNING FORK IN EASTERN MAGOFFIN COUNTY.

DOPPLER WEATHER RAINFALL INDICATES THREE HOUR RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 
ONE TO TWO INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN AN EAST TO WEST LINE THROUGH 
WOLFE...MAGOFFIN...FLOYD...AND PIKE COUNTIES.

RAINFALL IS OCCURRING OVER AREAS WITH SATURATED SOILS AND RUNOFF 
WILL QUICKLY FIND ITS WAY INTO CREEKS AND STREAMS...RESULTING IN 
FLASH FLOODING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. 
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE 
PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS 
SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY 
AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK 
HIGHER GROUND.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF MAY ALSO RESULT IN MUD OR ROCK SLIDES.
