THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON KY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MCCREARY COUNTY
  WAYNE COUNTY
  PULASKI COUNTY

* UNTIL 100 PM EDT

* AT 900 AM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN REPEATEDLY MOVING OVER SOUTHERN 
PULASKI...NORTHERN WAYNE...AND NORTHERN MCCREARY COUNTIES. AN 
OBSERVER IN MONTICELLO IN WAYNE COUNTY REPORTED 1.6 INCHES OF
RAIN SINCE 7 AM EDT. MONTICELLO CITY POLICE HAVE ALSO REPORTED
SOME STREETS COVERED WITH WATER.

* THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL HAVE THE MOST ADVERSE 
EFFECT ON SOUTHERN PULASKI COUNTY...AND NORTHERN PARTS OF WAYNE AND 
MCCREARY COUNTIES. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROADS AND ROADSIDE CULVERTS. THE HEAVY RAINS 
COULD ALSO TRIGGER ROCK AND MUDSLIDES.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
