THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  EDGAR COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 230 AM CDT

* AT 1120 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS CENTRAL EDGAR COUNTY. BETWEEN 1 AND 
  3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS BEEN ESTIMATED SINCE 8 PM ESPECIALLY AROUND PARIS.

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS
  EDGAR COUNTY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY RANGE FROM 
  1 TO 2.5 INCHES THROUGH 230 AM. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY
  PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING ESPECIALLY AROUND PARIS.

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ON FLOOD PRONE
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES. NEVER WALK OR DRIVE INTO FLOODED
AREAS AND ABANDON VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATERS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODS. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AT NIGHT TO JUDGE HOW
MUCH WATER COVERS ROADWAYS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS.
