THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LINCOLN HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MACON COUNTY IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS

* UNTIL 1000 PM CDT

* AT 550 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS DEVELOPING ACROSS MACON COUNTY...INCLUDING
  DECATUR.  

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE
  AREA INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS. RAINFALL RATES COULD APPROACH 
  2 INCHES AN HOUR AT TIMES. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY 
  PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ON FLOOD PRONE
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES. NEVER WALK OR DRIVE INTO FLOODED
