THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON NC HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NEW HANOVER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1100 AM EDT

* AT 930 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL OVER NEW        
  HANOVER COUNTY AND WILMINGTON...MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

* THE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL PRODUCE 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN ACROSS   
  NEW HANOVER COUNTY.

SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING 
OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
