RICE COUNTY IN CENTRAL KANSAS * UNTIL 430 AM CDT * AT 1032 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WERE ONCE AGAIN MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF RICE COUNTY. THIS ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL COMBINED WITH THE HEAVY RAINS FROM EARLIER THIS EVENING...WILL QUICKLY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. THE EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT...WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED... ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
