SOUTHWESTERN BARBER COUNTY IN KANSAS EASTERN COMANCHE COUNTY IN KANSAS * UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT * AT 859 PM CDT DODGE CITY DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT AS MUCH AS 5 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN RURAL EASTERN COMANCHE COUNTY GENERALLY BETWEEN ROUTE 160 AND THE SALT FORK ARKANSAS RIVER. FLASH FLOODING IN THIS AREA IS LIKELY WITH THIS AMOUNT OF RAINFALL AND PERHAPS ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN THIS AREA BY 930 PM. ANOTHER AREA OF CONCERN FOR FLOODING IS DOWNSTREAM OF THIS AREA ALONG THE SALT FORK ARKANSAS RIVER IN SOUTHWESTERN BARBER COUNTY. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
