THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DAUPHIN COUNTY IN PENNSYLVANIA

* UNTIL 1230 AM EDT.

* AT 918 PM...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED SOME STREETS 
FLOODING IN THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY. ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL 
LIKELY CREATE FURTHER FLOODING PROBLEMS...IN AND AROUND THE 
HARRISBURG AREA.

SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH 
FLOODING IN THE HARRISBURG AREA.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. 
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO HIGHER 
GROUND.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. NEVER ATTEMPT TO CROSS 2HIGH WATER IN A VEHICLE OR ON FOOT!

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM THURSDAY.
