THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SCHUYLKILL COUNTY IN PENNSYLVANIA

* UNTIL 845 PM EDT.

* AT 531 PM...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED EXTREMELY
  HEAVY RAINFALL.

* AT 531 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY 
HEAVY RAINFALL OVER MUCH OF SCHUYLKILL COUNTY WESTWARD TO THE 
SUSQUEHANNA RIVER. THIS RAIN WILL CONTINUE MOVING OVER SCHUYLKILL COUNTY 
FROM THE WEST FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS.

THE HEAVY RAINFALL WAS ALREADY CAUSING FLASH FLOODING IN THE CITY OF 
POTTSVILLE WHERE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT INDICATES MANHOLE COVERS 
BEING LIFTED BY HEAVY URBAN FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES.

SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RAPIDLY FLOOD...POSSIBLY WASHING OUT 
ROADS AND FLOODING NEARBY LOW LYING AREAS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AFTER THE SUN SETS WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE 
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.
