THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE PA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JUNIATA COUNTY IN PENNSYLVANIA

* UNTIL 100 AM EDT.

* AT 1000 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL NEARLY STATIONARY ALONG... 
AND TO THE SOUTHWEST OF ROUTE 322 IN JUNIATA COUNTY.

DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN DURING THE 
PAST HOUR JUST TO THE SOUTHWEST OF MIFFLINTOWN AND PORT ROYAL.

ANOTHER 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED TO FALL ACROSS THIS SAME 
AREA BETWEEN 10 PM AND MIDNIGHT.  

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF 
STREAMS AND CREEKS ACROSS JUNIATA COUNTY THROUGH 1 AM EDT 
THURSDAY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED. MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.
