THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN CAMERON COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 700 PM CDT

* AT 404 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED      
FLOODING IN SANTA ROSA AS THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL 
CONTINUE NEAR SANTA ROSA...OR 7 MILES  NORTH OF LA FERIA...MOVING 
NORTH AT 5 MPH. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED 3 TO 4 INCHES SINCE 3 PM.  

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE 
  FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. SANTA ROSA WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH
  FLOODING INCLUDE...AND SANTA ROSA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER 
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
