THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN ZAPATA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

* UNTIL 830 PM CST

* AT 635 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL 16 MILES NORTHEAST OF       
  ZAPATA...MOVING EAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE      
  DOPPLER RADAR IN BROWNSVILLE ESTIMATED THAT THIS STORM IS          
  PRODUCING RAINFALL RATES FROM 3 TO 4 INCHES AN HOUR IN THE WARNED  
  AREA.    

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE 
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH  
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. 

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS  
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT

THE ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL 
ONE...ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
