THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL PROVIDENCE COUNTY IN RHODE ISLAND

* UNTIL 745 PM EDT.

* AT 635 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL RAINFALL OVER FOSTER...OR ABOUT 10
  MILES SOUTHEAST OF PUTNAM...MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

* STORMS HAVE BEEN DUMPING MIXED TORRENTIAL RAIN AND SMALL HAIL FROM
  NEAR FOSTER TO SCITUATE GREENVILLE AND JOHNSTON SINCE ABOUT 445 PM 
  WITH HOURLY ESTIMATES OF RAIN OVER 2 INCHES.   

* THE LAST OF THE HEAVY RAIN AND HAIL MIX SHOULD END BETWEEN 715 
  AND 730 PM. HOWEVER SMALL STREAM AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL BE
  VULNERABLE TO EXCESSIVE PONDING OF WATER THROUGH AT LEAST 745
  PM.      
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. 
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY FOR 
THE NARROW 10 MILE WIDE EAST-WEST CORRIDOR THROUGH CENTRAL PROVIDENCE
COUNTY.
